A Word From Pastor

Hi, If I could describe Hope EFC I’d say we’re a people in the making and a church that’s simply committed to being Jesus’ witness. We also believe we’re called to be his hands and feet in this corner of the universe.

In 1 Peter 2:9-10 we read: “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

What an amazing way to describe the followers of Jesus! We’re saved for a reason. The apostle Peter explains how it includes every dimension of our being – personal, corporate and social. The inward transformation of heart, mind and spirit has given new priorities in our outward expression of faith. In this way we’re like songs of praise to the God who saved us, significant to our Lord at home, in the marketplace, the classroom, and especially among the marginalised in our community.

If God has placed a similar passion in your heart, you’ll be right at home in Hope EFC.
