In view of the escalating challenges faced by our nation, the EFCM held a Joint-EFCM Pray & Fast Day via Zoom on 9 June 2021 from 8.00-10.00 pm.
Free Churches across the country were encouraged to unite and stand in the gap in corporate prayer and witness for our beloved nation. Individual churches launched their own church-wide prayer effort in the morning of 9 June in conjunction with EFCM’s prayer event. They then reconvened for the joint closing service in the evening. Elder-Chairman Chee Keong (Hope EFC) led the evening service, while his wife Pei Yin led the brief worship time. Chairman of EFCM Pr. David Tan delivered a short devotion taken from Col 3:1-3 . All participants were assigned to 20 breakout rooms for prayer in small groups. The service closed with prayers in 3 languages: Dr Chan Ah Kee (EFCGC) in English, Elder Kong Weng (PJEFC) in BM and Pr Kengsen (HopeEFC/Chinese) in Mandarin.
Praise the Lord for the turnout of about 107 faithful people of prayer. We thank PJEFC for hosting the Zoom event and helping us with tech support led by Edwin Kee.
